Working Principle
The magnetism of AlNiCo magnets comes from the interaction of aluminum, nickel, and cobalt atoms in the alloy lattice. Through specialized heat treatment and magnetic orientation, the magnetic domains align in a highly ordered structure, producing strong permanent magnetism.
Unlike NdFeB magnets, AlNiCo domains remain stable even at very high temperatures, making them ideal for applications requiring high flux density and thermal stability.

Frequently Asked Questions—AlNiCo Magnets
1. What are the advantages of AlNiCo magnets compared to NdFeB magnets?
AlNiCo magnets have excellent thermal stability and can operate up to 380ºC without demagnetizing, making them ideal for motors and sensors where NdFeB cannot.
2. Can AlNiCo magnets be customized in size and coating?
Yes. CORT MAGNETS offers multiple coatings (Nickel, NiCuNi, Zinc, Epoxy, Gold, Silver, Parylene) and full size customization according to drawings.
3. How resistant are AlNiCo magnets to corrosion?
AlNiCo has good inherent resistance, but in humid or chemical environments, protective coatings like Epoxy or Parylene are recommended.
4. Are magnetization directions selectable?
Yes. Common options include thickness or radial magnetization, depending on application needs.
